<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge capable of stably supply ink to an inkjet printer, the ink enabling forming of a high density image free from bleeding. <P>SOLUTION: This ink cartridge comprises an ink containing chamber for containing the ink, an ink supply hole for supplying the ink to a recorder, a container having an air ventilating section for ventilating the air to the ink containing chamber, and the ink contained in the container, and a negative pressure generating means for holding the ink in the container. The negative pressure generating means is of a porous material absorbing and holding the ink by a capillary force and a colorant of the ink is of a dispersant which is formed such that a pigment is included in a polymer to be dispersed into water. A content of an aromatic ring in the polymer is in the range of 20-70 wt.% and a content of polyvalent cation contained in a liquid component of the ink is not greater than 500 ppm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
