<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make intensity of irradiation light uniform of a whole light irradiation face 33 of a lighting system. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 10 arranged at a rear face of a liquid crystal display element 1 consists of a light guide plate 30 and a light source 20 arranged at one side face of the light guide plate. The light guide plate has recessed parts formed at either side wall face of a light-incident face 31 fitted with the light source 20 as well as a reflecting film 42 arranged at a light-incident part except a light-irradiation part of the light guide plate 30 and a reflecting plate 41 stuck on a wall face except the light-incident face 31, so that uniformity of intensity of light irradiated from the light irradiation face is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
