<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a powder clutch provided between an engine of a hybrid vehicle and a driving system. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle has the powder clutch 3 for transmitting the rotation of the engine to the driving system having a motor 4 and a continuously variable transmission 5 for steplessly varying the reduction ratio of the driving system following the motor 4. When the powder clutch is fastened and released from a travelling condition in which the output of the engine is transmitted to the driving system for transition into a travelling condition with a rotating motor only, the powder clutch is released in the state that the rotating number of the powder clutch at its output side is a set rotating number or less. Otherwise, when the engine is stopped and the powder clutch is released to put it into the travelling condition with the rotating motor only, the powder clutch is fastened in the state that the rotating number of the powder clutch at its output side is the set rotating number or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
