PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment and an equipment management system that facilitate the management of the state of the equipment.

SOLUTION: The equipment management system comprises a machine A 101 to be managed and a maker server 400 connected to the machine A via a communication line. The machine A 101 comprises a storage part 115 for holding machine unit data 115b whose content identifies the machine A 101 and units attached to the machine A 101, and a controller 111 and a display part 114 for reading out the machine unit data 115b held in the storage part 115 to display the content.
