PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the precision of translation by translating a document in different translation modes according to the display form of the document.

SOLUTION: This translation system for translating the document comprises: a designated part extraction part for extracting, of the document; a designated part designated to be displayed in a predetermined display form; and a translation processing part for translating the content included in the designated part in a nominal phrase translation mode for translating as a nominal phase preferentially, compared with the case of translating other parts except the designated part of the document.
