PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of reducing the capacity of a memory to store service information. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver is provided with: a means for allowing a storage device to store a view history within a prescribed period in the past; a storage means for storing service information; and a means for calculating a viewing rate by each prescribed classification item on the basis of the view history information and controlling the storage amount of the service information by each classification item depending on the result of the calculation. When the digital broadcast receiver is a digital broadcast receiver for receiving terrestrial digital broadcast programs, classification items are e.g., broadcast stations for terrestrial digital broadcasting.
