PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal whereby a proper recording state can be obtained in response to a photographing object. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal mounted with a photographing electronic camera 123 detects a photographing direction of the electronic camera 123 and controls a gain of a microphone in response to a result of the detection. For example, when the photographing direction of the electronic camera 123 is set toward a backside of a mobile phone, the microphone gain is set high. Further, when the photographing direction of the electronic camera 123 is set toward a front side of the mobile phone, that is, toward the user itself, the microphone gain is set to a prescribed value. Thus, a proper microphone gain is set in response to a positional relation between an object and the microphone 111 and the microphone can properly pick up voice of the object or the like.
