PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a klystron capable of relatively easily magnetizing a permanent magnet, easily forming the permanent magnet and a magnetic pole. SOLUTION: A magnetic circuit is constructed by a permanent magnet 51, an inside magnetic pole 48, an inside of a drift tube 7, adjacent inside magnetic poles 48, adjacent permanent magnets 51, an outside magnetic pole 53, and the permanent magnet 51, and a periodic magnetic field is formed in the drift tube 7. Linear sides of the permanent magnet, the inside magnetic pole, and the outside magnetic pole 53 forms a polygon. As the part contacting with each other are contacting linearly, namely, contacting with flat planes, the planes can be surely and accurately contacted and easily formed only by obtaining flatness, accordingly, leakage of magnetic flux is reduced, and assembly becomes easy.
