DISK DRIVE CONTROLLER AND DISK DRIVE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the fact that the motor of a disk drive device is stopped, with respect to the disk drive device or a disk drive controller. SOLUTION: A disk drive interface IC7 of a disk drive device 1 notifies information that is detected by a motor rotation measuring device 6 and indicates the fact that a motor 3 is stopped, to a host interface IC8. The IC8 transmits the information to a host CPU9. Thus, a disk drive controller 2 detects the fact that the motor 3 of the device 1 has stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
