PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention thumb-turn capable of preventing an illegal rotational operation by means of a wire and a bar or the like to enhance crime preventing performance. SOLUTION: The crime prevention thumb-turn is equipped with a clutch 12 with which a tab 61 of the existing thumb-turn 60 is covered, a cylindrical body 19 hidden with a cover by surrounding the existing thumb-turn 60 and rotatably supporting the clutch 12 on the front end section and a rotational connecting body 39 separably placed to the clutch 12 and having an engaging means 43 preventing relative rotation with the clutch 12. It is equipped with a rotational operating section 30 rotatably provided to the cylindrical body 19 and, at the same time, supporting the rotational connecting body 39, a controlling piece 48 consisting of a magnet movable between an advanced position provided to the rotational connecting body 39 and controlling an engagement with the clutch 12 and a retractable position allowing the engagement with the clutch 12 and the magnet 54 having magnetic force moving the controlling piece 48 to the retractable position.
