PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storable seat for a vehicle having a seat surface usable and storable by a single electrical means without applying an overload on an electrical storing device. SOLUTION: This storable seat comprises the seat surface 13 pivotally mounted on the base plate frame 11 fixed to a vehicle and turnablly movable between a storage using position substantially perpendicular to a floor of the vehicle and a position substantially parallel thereto, an electric storing device 50 for performing a storing operation for holding and turning the seat surface 13 from the using position to the storage position and a storing release operation for allowing the seat surface 13 to turn from the storage position to the using position, a seat surface latch mechanism 50 for locking the seat surface 13 in the storage position, and an inner wire 66 driven by the electric storing device 50 for releasing the locking of the seat surface latch mechanism 60 when the electric storing device 50 performs the storing release operation and the seat surface 13 can be turned substantially to the using position.
