PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body front part structure with improved energy absorption efficiency capable of transmitting/dispersing a power input from a front part of a vehicle body to a wider area of the vehicle body. SOLUTION: A front pillar upper 5, a roof front rail 6 and a dash cross upper 7 constitute a rectangular frame structure 13. A rear end of a hood ridge member 4 is connected to a front end of a box cross-section 14 projecting forward near a lower end of the front pillar upper. A front pillar lower 11 is connected to the front pillar upper, the box cross-section, the dash cross upper and a side sill 10. The dash cross upper 7 is arranged on an axial line of the front pillar upper 5 in lateral view. A front impact load is transmitted/dispersed from the dash cross upper 7 and the front pillar lower 11 to the side sill 10 and the front pillar upper 5. As for a power input from the hood ridge member 4, the box cross-section 14 deforms to absorb the energy while suppressing the extreme increase of the load. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
