摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which can main-scan at all positions on a main scanning line by a proper velocity without being influenced by the variation in characteristics of an f-θlens, the variation in wavelength of a laser light, the variation in rotation speed of a polygon mirror, the variation or the like in characteristics of f-θlens due to an environment temperature or the like. SOLUTION: A modulation coefficient is set for each of a plurality of divided segments of the main scanning line at the time of exposing scanning a photoreceptor by an image light. When an image clock signal for exposure control which has a period value obtained by sequentially adding a period value as a multiplied value of the set modulation coefficient and a period value of a reference clock signal to an initial period value in accordance with the progress of the segments, is sequentially generated for each segment, a phase difference between a detection timing of a terminal end of the main scanning line and a generation timing of the last image clock signal of the last segment is detected, and the modulation coefficient of each segment except the segment related to a starting end addition clock signal is corrected on the basis of the phase difference related to the detection.
