PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device for a line head system which can obtain good images without streak irregularities and the like. SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording device which records by discharging ink from a discharge opening array, a line head with the discharge opening array is divided into a plurality of head blocks. The head blocks adjacent to each other have overlapping parts. Switching of recording head blocks is carried out at the overlapping parts.
