The pond insert has a separate pond basin with bottom drain and a separate pump shaft with a pump at the bottom and a filter mounted thereabove. The bottom drain (17) of the basin (12) is connected to the upper region of the pump shaft (13) through a pipe (16) which contains a pressure pipe (19) which leads from the pressure connection (18) of the pump to the inlet connection (20) of at least one water toy (22) mounted in or on the basin. The inside diameter of the pipe (16) is larger than the outside diameter of the pressure pipe.
