METHOD FOR MANAGING COPY PROTECTION INFORMATION OF AN OPTICAL DISK, CONCERNED WITH RESTRICTING A PLAY AND COPY OPERATION IDENTICAL WITH THE DRM INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A method for managing copy protection information of an optical disk is provided to include copy protection information and DRM(Digital Right Management) information in a key locker, and to record/store a hidden code for deciphering the copy protection information. CONSTITUTION: An optical disk drive(500) consists of a decryption block(50), a key calculation block(51), and a DRM module(52). The key calculation block(51) consists of a DRM detection block and a decryption block for detecting and deciphering DRM information and a disk key included in a key locker, respectively, by using a hidden code. The DRM module(52) controls an operation of the key calculation block(51) in reference to the DRM information, or variably controls a data play and copy operation.
