When it is determined that the vehicle is not in the lockup state, the control device determines whether there is a power generation request or not (S3). When there is the request, the control device operates the charging state of a battery. Next, it is determined whether the number of revolutions of the engine is the number of idle revolutions or not (S4), and when it is not the number of idle revolutions, it is determined whether the engine is cut in fuel supply or not (S5). When the fuel cut is conducted based on the determination, and when a prescribed time has elapsed (S7), a difference between the number of revolutions of the engine after the cut of the fuel and the number of revolutions the engine after the lapse of the prescribed time is operated (S8).
