PACKAGE FOR LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENT AND LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a package for light emitting element in which light from a light emitting element can be reflected well and radiated efficiently to the outside while being condensed.

SOLUTION: The package for light emitting element is provided with a recess 4 for housing a light emitting element 3 in the upper surface of an insulating substrate 1. A part 2 for mounting the light emitting element 3 and a wiring layer 5b being connected electrically with the electrode of the light emitting element 3 are formed on the bottom face of the recess 4. The recess 4 is fitted with a metal frame 8 having inner circumferential surface inclining to extend outward from the bottom face of the recess 4 toward the upper surface of the insulating substrate 1. The frame 8 is provided with an inclination angle varying part 8a arranged such that the inclination angle is larger on the upper side of the inner circumferential surface than on the lower side thereof.
