<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display driving device which can well deal with the trend toward higher fineness of a display panel while suppressing the deterioration in display sharpness due to insufficiency of writing at the time of writing operation of display data to a display pixel by using an existing current driver and a display device as well as a method for controlling its driving. <P>SOLUTION: The display driving device 130 is constituted by being equipped with a single constant current forming circuit 131 which forms a current component (constant current Ip) regulating the current value of a gradation current Ipix and outputs the same, a plurality of constant current latching circuits 134 which successively capture the constant current Ip supplied from the constant current forming circuit 131 at the prescribed timing and holds (stores) the same, and a current supply control circuit 80 which sets the current supply time (pulse width) for supplying the gradation current Ipix to data lines DL (respective display pixels EM) by pulse width modulation (PWM) control based on the luminance gradation component included in display data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
