<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader exhibiting excellent erasability of a card even when an image is erased simultaneously with formation thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The card reader comprises a carrying passage of a card, a carrying means for moving the card in the carrying passage, and an image forming/erasing means provided with a heating resistor element for forming a visible image on the card and erasing the visible image formed on the card wherein the dimension (a) of the heating resistor element in the carrying direction of the card is set larger than the dimension (b) in the direction substantially perpendicular to the carrying direction of the card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
