METHOD FOR TREATING BASE FABRIC FOR RUBBER REINFORCEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple one bath type treating method in which excellent adhesion performance can be imparted to a base fabric for rubber reinforcement containing a polyester fiber as a constituent fiber. SOLUTION: The method for treating a base fabric for rubber reinforcement comprises applying a treating solution containing an aromatic polyepoxide compound (A), a carboxy group-modified styrene-polybutadiene-vinylpyridine latex (B), a styrene-polybutadiene-vinylpyridine latex (C) and a resorcinol-formalin resin (RF) in a ratio (based on weight) simultaneously satisfying formula (1): 0.1≤A/(B+C)≤2.0, formula (2): 0.1≤B/C≤1.5 and formula (3): 0.1≤RF/(A+B+C)≤1.0 to a base fabric containing a polyester fiber to which an epoxy compound is previously applied in a yarn-making stage and carrying out heat treatment of the treated base fabric at 180-245°C for 60-600 sec.
