PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant polyamide resin composition which is improved in the reduction of decomposition gases formed when the constituent flame-retardant is heated, in flame retardancy, and in hinge properties without detriment to mechanical properties, chemical resistance, moldability, and electrical properties. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant polyamide resin composition comprises a copolyamide 66/6 resin, a polyamide 6 resin, and a melamine-cyanurate-containing copolyamide 66/6 resin, is prepared by simultaneously performing the polymerization of the polyamide 66/6 and the synthesis of the melamine cyanurate, and contains 0.15 to 15 wt.% melamine cyanurate.
