PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure of a roller with built-in motor for effectively reducing a temperature rise inside of a device with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A cooling mechanism of the roller 100 with built-in motor has the motor 130 and a speed reducer 140 in a roller body 112; transmits rotation of the motor 130 to the roller body 112 by decelerating by the speed reducer 140; can receive reaction of driving force of the roller body 112 by an external member for nonrotatably fixing cases 133 and 150 via the cases 133 and 150 for storing the motor 130 and 140; and is constituted so that an air passage is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the case 150 of the speed reducer for introducing air to the other side from one side in the axis L2 direction of the speed reducer 150.
