PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and thin image pickup device in which an image plane curvature and color aberration are reduced or canceled. SOLUTION: The image pickup device is provided with a first group lens 10 receiving beams from an object side; and an image pickup element 30 receiving light transmitted through the first group lens 10, performing photoelectric conversion, and outputting an electric signal. The first group lens 10 is an achromatic lens composed of a first group first lens 11 and a first group second lens 12. The beams 40 transmitted through the first group lens 10 are condensed to a light receiving face of the image pickup element 30. The beams from the object side are image-formed on the light receiving face of the image pickup element 30 by the first group first lens 11 and the first group second lens.
