PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal head system mounted with a vibration-proof function capable of obtaining a stable video image by temporarily invalidating the vibration-proof function while a universal head is tilted or being tilted in order to capitalize on the serviceability of the function. SOLUTION: The universal head 100 comprises: a head part 101; a housing part 102; and a camera 103. Further, an operation panel 104 for remote control is connected to the universal head 100 so as to attain a panning / tilting operation of the universal head 100, zooming / focusing control of the camera 103, and IRIS control or the like. Moreover, a monitor 105 for monitoring a video output of the camera 3 mounted on the universal head 100 is connected to the universal head 100. In the universal head system mounted with the camera including the vibration-proof function, when panning / tilting is executed, the vibration-proof function of the camera is temporarily invalidated before start of driving.
