PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that in conventional samplers which sample a test substance of one to three times the amount of unit quantity to be dosed from a particulate matter after completing a mixture process in order to verify competence of mixture uniformity in the mixture process (which is carried out just before a process such as a tablet making process, a capsule filling process or the like where the particulate matter making up solid preparations are processed into final forms; and in which a plurality of different powders or different grains or powder and grain are mixed uniformly) for solid preparations (such as tablets, capsules, granules or the like), in particular, the ratio of the principal agent to the particulate matter after completing the mixture process is small, and in the case of using a particulate matter whose principal agent is easily separated and segregated, remixing in the process of the test substance sampling operation does not occur, thereby making it difficult to sample the test substance. SOLUTION: The sampler 1 which samples the particulate matter, is composed of a body 2, an upper pestle 3 which is disposed on the outer surface of the body, and a lower pestle 4 which slides between a position where it comes into contact with the upper pestle and a position where it gets away from the upper pestle in the longitudinal direction of the body.
