PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a new column structure for coping with an impact when a protecting fence receives falling rocks. SOLUTION: This column 3 is embedded and fixedly implanted in base concrete 6; and is characterized by embedding and fixing the fence 2 by vertically interposing elastic bodies 8A and 8B between the base concrete 6 on a colliding side surface 7A of the column 3 positioned on the surface side for receiving the impact and a non-colliding side surface 7B becoming the back face side of an impact side surface.
