PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic fiber cord for reinforcing rubber having strength and fatigue resistance balanced at a high level. SOLUTION: The organic fiber cord for reinforcing the rubber is composed of a plied yarn prepared by applying first twists to fiber raw yarns composed of a polyketone at a first twist multiplier N<SB>1</SB>, then doubling the plurality of first twisted yarns and subsequently applying final twists in the direction opposite to that of the first twists at a final twist multiplier N<SB>2</SB>. The first twist multiplier N<SB>1</SB>and the final twist multiplier N<SB>2</SB>satisfy formula (IV) represented by (D<SB>2</SB>/D<SB>1</SB>)<SP>1/2</SP><N<SB>2</SB>/N<SB>1</SB>≤4.25, formula (II) represented by N<SB>1</SB>=n<SB>1</SB>×(0.139×D<SB>1</SB>/ρ)<SP>1/2</SP>×10<SP>-3</SP>and formula (III) represented by N<SB>2</SB>=n<SB>2</SB>×(0.139×D<SB>2</SB>/ρ)<SP>1/2</SP>×10<SP>-3</SP>[wherein, n<SB>1</SB>is the number of the first twists (turns/10 cm); n<SB>2</SB>is the number of the final twists (turns/10 cm); D<SB>1</SB>is the nominal denier of the first twisted yarns; D<SB>2</SB>is the total nominal denier; andρis the specific gravity (g/cm<SP>3</SP>) of the polyketone fiber].
