PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling method of high cooling capacity in which a hot dip galvanized steel strip is cooled by an air jet cooler system in hot dip galvanizing equipment. SOLUTION: In the cooling method for cooling a galvanized steel strip 1 after solidification in hot dip galvanizing equipment, air is used for gas to be blown against the galvanized steel strip 1, and the air blowing speed is set to be 50-150 m/sec.
