PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively solve density irregularities of a photosensitive material by appropriately correcting an emission intensity of an array light source in an image exposure device, and to improve an image quality. SOLUTION: The image exposure device for exposing an image to a predetermined photoprinting paper 11 with the use of a plurality of light emitting element arrays 21-23 is equipped with light mixing means 29a and 29b for mixing light emitted from the plurality of light emitting element arrays 21-23 and forming a line shape emission light; a two-dimensional color CCD 105 for receiving the line shape emission light mixed by the light mixing means 29a and 29b at a position where the photoprinting paper 11 is exposed, and generating two-dimensional image data; and a CPU 30 for calculating correction data for correcting the emission intensity of the light emitting element arrays 21-23 on the basis of the two-dimensional image data. The CPU 30 carries out image structure transformation of the two-dimensional image data, density conversion of converting the two-dimensional image data to density data of the photoprinting paper 11, and color conversion of converting spectral characteristics of the two-dimensional color CCD 105 to spectral characteristics of the photoprinting paper 11.
