METHOD FOR PRESERVING HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe hollow fiber membrane composed of a hydrophobic polymer and a hydrophilic polymer and characterized in that the amount of the eluate eluted from the membrane is extremely little independently of a preservation period reaching gamma ray sterilization from the point of time immediately after spinning. SOLUTION: In the hollow fiber membrane composed of the hydrophobic polymer and the hydrophilic polymer and sterilized by the irradiation with gamma rays, the preservation of the hollow fiber membrane reaching gamma ray-irradiated sterilization from the point of time after spinning is performed in a dried and low temperature deoxidized hermetically closed state to obtain the safe hollow fiber membrane of which the eluate amount is equal to that immediately after spinning even after six-month preservation and extremely little independently of the preservation period.
