<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a biological tissue supply material efficiently culturing a desired amount of stem cells. <P>SOLUTION: The method is carried out as follows. A bone marrow fluid (biological tissue) 10 is extracted from an ilium of a patient or a third party other than the patient. The bone marrow fluid 10 contains bone marrow cells 13 having a large amount of fat cells 11, etc., and a small amount of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (stem cells) 12. The bone marrow fluid 10 is then inserted into a freezer 14 set at -20°C and stored for a prescribed period. In the process, resistance to freezing is different between the bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells 12 and the fat cells 11, etc. Thereby, the volume of the fat cells 11 is expanded or lumps of ice are produced to thereby damage cell membranes, etc., and kill the cells. On the other hand, since the bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells 12 have a high survival rate than that of the fat cells 11, the survival state of the plurality of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells 12 is maintained. After the passage of a prescribed time, the bone marrow fluid 10 is taken out of the freezer 14 and slowly thawed at room temperature.
