<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge a paper sheet in a transfer part immediately when jamming occurs, and to suppress the occurrence of soil and damage on members inside an apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, a toner image is formed by an image forming unit 10, the toner image is intermediately transferred to an intermediate transfer belt 15 and carried by the belt 15, then, the toner image carried by the intermediate transfer belt 15 is transferred to the paper sheet P by a secondary transfer roll 21 altogether. When the paper-jamming occurs in anyone of paper carrying paths, the paper sheet P with the toner image transferred by the secondary transfer roll 21 is made away from the intermediate transfer belt 15 by a first carrying belt 55 and a second carrying belt 56. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
