<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suture needle having a sufficient cutting sharpness (piercing effect) by determining the direction of a grinding part to the ridge line. <P>SOLUTION: The grinding part 22 is formed in the orthogonal direction to the ridge lines 24 and 26 of cutting edges 16 and 18 on two surfaces being confronted with a cutting blade section 12 on the needle tip. Also, a polishing method and a polishing device, by which the grinding part 22 is efficiently formed by pressing the ridge lines 24 and 26 on the radius of a grinding surface by using a grinding element which rotates with an axis being orthogonal to the grinding surface as a pivot, are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
