PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce shocks in throwing in waste, and to continuously feed the waste in a selection step. SOLUTION: A starting end of a conveyor 11 faces a bottom of a throw-in pit 13, a throw-in box 12 having an opening/closing bottom plate 14 is provided in the throw-in pit 13 in an elevating/lowering manner. Waste D is thrown into the throw-in box 12 from a carry-in floor surface F provided on the side of the throw-in pit 13, the throw-in box 12 descends in the pit 13 and reaches an upper surface of the deposited waste D, and the bottom plate 14 is opened at the position. Since the bottom plate 14 is opened/closed while abutting on the upper surface of the deposited waste D, the falling distance when discharging the waste D is almost zero, and breakage caused by cracks is less. If the elevating/lowering operation is controlled by a sensor 15 in the pit 13, the elevating/lowering height can be adjusted according to the deposition height of the waste D. If the floor surface F forms a damping plate 20 to be tilted downwardly to the throw-in pit 13, the throw-in box 12 can be unloaded from a collection vehicle even when the throw-in box is during the elevating/lowering operation.
