<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently auto-preset a broadcasting station capable of normal outputting by excluding a broadcasting station incapable of normal outputting in a broadcast receiving apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Preset is invalidated not to store frequency information of a broadcasting station incapable of normal outputting in broadcasting stations receivable for the broadcast receiving apparatus. Preset is invalidated by disabling tuning of the broadcasting station incapable of normal outputting or by deleting the frequency information after presetting, and preset is performed only for the broadcasting station capable of normal outputting.
