PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device whose aperture rate is maximized although the device has stable domains and a fast response speed. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a thin-film transistor display plate including an insulating substrate, gate lines which are formed on the insulating substrate and are laterally extended, data lines which are formed on the insulating substrate, cross gates while insulated, and have pluralities of oblique parts and longitudinal parts repeatedly appearing at intervals of the length of a pixel, pixel electrodes which are formed by pixel areas defined by making the gate lines and data lines cross each other, and thin-film transistors which are connected to the gate lines, data lines, and pixel electrodes. The thin-film transistor display plate is characterized in that an oblique part of a data line connects longitudinal parts and is divided into first and second oblique parts in the length direction and a data line deviates in steps from a straight line through the first oblique part and returns in steps to the straight line through the second oblique part.
