PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head in which accuracy of an attachment position of a magnetic core for a shield case can be improved and dispersion of impedance can be made less. SOLUTION: A magnetic core assembly 8 in which a magnetic core 11 is attached to a bobbin 17 provided with a holder 10 is inserted into the inside of a metal shield case 7, the magnetic core assembly 8 is fixed to the inside of the shield case 7 exposing a magnetic gap G at a window part formed at a medium sliding plane of the shield case, and a restrain concave part 7f restrained at one part of the holder 10 and positioning in the direction of height for the shield case 7 of the magnetic gap is formed at at least one part of a side wall inner plane of the shield case 7.
