PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that under present circumstances, for example, when PCM data of a track unit stored in a HDD or the like so as to be managed as a file is compression-encoded, continuity of reproduced sound is not kept in the track (file) as compression-encoded audio data. SOLUTION: PCM contents 33 stored in a HDD 21 are formed so as to divide data rows constituting some one album. The PCM contents 33 are managed by a data base 35 so that the PCM contents is made to correspond to album ID discriminating the album and a track number (reproduction order) in the album. When the plurality of PCM contents 33 are each converted to compressed contents, the data base 35 is referred to and when the plurality of PCM contents 35 belong to the same album and reproduction order is continued, conversion processing is performed so that continuity in reproduction is given according to reproduction order in the album.
