PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce amount of flowing-in lubricating oil when compression operation stops in a gas compressor by a simple structure and prevent increase of start torque when restarting. SOLUTION: A discharge hole side end part B which is an end part where a discharge valve 22 comes into contact with a spacer 29 is positioned more on a release end side (discharge hole 7a side) of the discharge valve 22 than a contact end C which is an end part where the discharge valve 22 comes into contact with a valve support 23. As for length in the direction of discharge hole 7a from a bolt 28, length of the spacer 29 is larger than length of a straight part 23a of the valve support 23. For this reason, since spring constant when closing the discharge hole 7a is large when compression operation stops, the discharge valve 22 enters a non-load condition (a condition in which the discharge valve 22 is not elastically deformed) earlier than a conventional discharge valve, and pressure in a discharge chamber 18 and a compression chamber 14 becomes uniform. Consequently, time for opening the discharge valve 7a after compression operation stops is shortened, and amount of flowing-in lubricating oil can be sufficiently reduced.
