PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottom mud transfer method, and a bottom mud transfer device for leveling bottom mud such as sludge deposited in a river. SOLUTION: A high pressure jet flow is inversely jetted obliquely backward from a jetting body 1. The jetting body 1 is made to self-travel on the bottom of the river by thrust. While allowing the bottom mud D forcibly fed by an inverse jet flow to transfer, drive, and travel in a bottom mud transfer passage 4 following to the jetting body 1, the bottom mud deposited high in the river is collapsed by a jet water flow. The collapsed bottom mud is carried via a sucking-up body, a water/mud pumping means, and a bottom mud carrying passage, and is carried out (transferred) to the central side and a central part of the river, and the bottom mud D is leveled over the whole river area.
