PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strut mounting structure which is simple, facilitates mounting of a strut, and positively prevents the strut from toppling. SOLUTION: The strut mounting structure is provided for erecting the strut 3 of a construction such as a fence and a gate on a base plate 2. First a mounting plate 6 is mounted on the base plate 2 at a lower end of a reinforcing rod 5 on which the strut 3 is fitted, and anchor bolts 7 are inserted into the mounting plate 6 so as to correspond to both sides of the reinforcing rod 5, followed by fixing the mounting plate 6 to the base plate 2 by means of screws 8 screwed onto the respective anchor bolts 7. Further the strut mounting structure is comprised of a toppling preventive body 9 which has its lower end embedded in the base plate 2 and its upper end inserted into the reinforcing rod 5 from below.
