PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powdery treating material for animal excrements, having a good absorption of urine excreted by the animal and water retainability, wrapping the excrements to make blocks, easily taken out, burnable, effectively utilizing waste wood powder containing hinokithiol, and capable of being colored even with other colors than the original color of the wood powder containing the hinokithiol and selecting an appropriate color according to the place for using it. SOLUTION: The powdery treating material for the animal excrements comprises mainly wood powder containing the hinokithiol, and is a granulated material having≥1 mm particle diameter, at least a part of which is colored with the appropriate coloring material so as to be colored by the color other than the original colors of the extract residue of a coffee extract.
