摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for uncapping a suction cap whereby the suction cap can be appropriately detached from a droplet discharge head without using an atmospheric open nozzle and scattering of a functional fluid; a device for discharging liquid droplet; a method for producing an electrooptical device; an electrooptical device; and an electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The method for uncapping a suction cap involves detaching a suction cap 101 that has sucked in a functional fluid from a nozzle hole 55 while a seal part 132a is being adhered to a nozzle face 51 of a liquid droplet discharge head 8 relatively from the liquid droplet discharge head 8 by a detachment mechanism 107. The method is characterized by controlling a relative rate of detachment implemented by the detachment mechanism 107 at a low rate to achieve partial and gradual detachment of the adhered seal part 132a from the nozzle face 51.
