PURPOSE: A compressor having an inlet port in a swash plate housing is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost, to easily assemble, to save energy by cooling a bearing with fluid before compressed, and to secure excellent durability of the bearing. CONSTITUTION: A compressor having an inlet port(90) in a swash plate housing(20) is composed of a cylinder block(26) having a compression chamber(34) in at least a portion; the swash plate housing having a swash plate chamber(22) in at least a portion and adjacent to the cylinder block; the fluid inlet port of the swash plate housing for sucking the fluid into the swash plate chamber without passing the fluid through any parts of the cylinder block; and a passage way for flowing the fluid in the swash plate chamber into the compression chamber by interlocking the swash plate chamber with the compression chamber by the fluid.
