<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a medium carrier that the print surface is contaminated through transfer to a feed roller, that the upper side and the lower side of a sheet are shifted when a passbook, e.g. a bankbook, is carried, that a copy sheet cannot be printed using a conventional dot impact printer when an ink jet system is employed at the print section, and workability of unjamming work is low. <P>SOLUTION: The medium carrier comprises feed rollers 3 and 4 for driving the rear side of the print surface of a medium and varying the carrying speed when a medium being carried rushes in, a scanner 17 being an image read mechanism, for reading a format on the print surface of the medium, an ink jet print section 34 for printing the format and data read out by means of the scanner 17 after the data is printed on the medium, and pressure rollers 5 and 6 interlocked with an apparatus open/close mechanism to perform clamp/unclamp operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
