PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillator capable of reducing the temperature dependence of an oscillated frequency so as to generate a stable clock signal in a simple circuit configuration without increasing the circuit scale. SOLUTION: A voltage-controlled oscillator 100 uses inverter circuits 102-1 to 102-N to generate the clock signal. Optional one of the inverter circuits 102 comprises a P-channel transistor 112 and three N-channel transistors 114, 116, 118 formed on a board. Further, each of the inverter circuits 102-1 to 102-N is provided with each of temperature compensation circuits 104-1, 104-2, ... 104-N. Optional one of the temperature compensation circuits 104 comprises a resistor 120 and an N-channel transistor 122 (transistor for the temperature compensation circuit).
