PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically-operated linear actuator of low manufacturing cost, capable of being used under dry environment not using a lubricant, surely performing the operation of high speed and high frequency in a maintenance free state, and elongating its service life. SOLUTION: In this electrically-operated linear actuator comprising a screw shaft 14 rotated by an electric motor 19, a nut 17 engaged with the screw shaft 14 and restricted in its rotation, and a rod 13 connected with the nut 17, converting the rotating motion of the screw shaft 14 into the linear motion of the nut 17, and linearly moving the rod 13, the screw shaft 14 has a complex nickel plating film formed by eutectoid of polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder 16b by electroless deposition on at least a surface of a screw part of a screw shaft body 15, the eutectoid amount of the polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder 16b is 11-25 vol.%, a hardness of the heat-treated complex nickel plating film 16 is Hv350-500, and the nut 17 is made out of a synthetic resin having self-lubricating property.
