<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of hard particulates in a disk drive device in which a micro-actuator is adopted for positioning of a head. <P>SOLUTION: All exposed surfaces of piezoelectric elements 38a, 38b of the micro-actuator 32 being a head positioning mechanism are covered by polymer painting 52 to prevent hard particulate generation. The encapsulant acts also as a vapor barrier of multi-layer titanic acid zirconic acid lead crystal, and prevents vapor from entering electrode parts 50a, 50b and prevents resulting corrosion of electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
