<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio receiver which detects the signal level of a foreign wave entering a section for reception processing in a local machine to quickly cope with sensitivity degradation in the reception section, which is caused by interference resulting from the foreign wave, and to provide a radio base station device, a mobile communication system, and an interference detection method, . <P>SOLUTION: A reception part 2 outputs an interference level signal Sg3 indicating the level of a reception signal Sg1 to a control circuit 6. A foreign wave detection circuit 5 detects a foreign wave Sg4 coming into a chassis 4 and outputs a foreign wave level signal Sg5 indicating the level of the foreign wave Sg4.
